Here are a few of the best employees in the Dayton area! Rack Processing recognized these individuals on Veteran’s Day. These particular hardworking associates were either in the military or a member of their family served in our armed forces. They have brought many skills to Rack Processing Company, Inc. through their career experiences, or they have developed their plating on plastics (POP) rack assembly, welding, engineering, sales or logistics management skills here at Rack Processing.

Rack Processing’s electroplating on plastics customers are being offered an opportunity to subscribe to an on-line Critical Asset Tracking Solution (CATS) to be better able to track the activity, location, and status, of their valued plating on plastic (POP) racks. The system is based on RFID technology and it utilizes high temperature, corrosive resistant RFID tags that are read with handheld or fixed readers. The information is fed to the database that can be accessed using a desktop, laptop, or mobile device (phones, tablets, etc.) connected to the internet, and a login subscription. All three Rack Processing Company operations now have the latest version of their corporate ERP system called Global Shop. The latest revision of the system handles bi-lingual order entry, shop floor/engineering control, RFID / Bar Coding, along with the accounting system, to give Key Performance Indicators and reports to help them manage customer orders and their overall Global Enterprise business. Rack’s people, equipment, and system infrastructure combine to fill the tough demands of the plating on plastic (POP) rack market.

3D Printing / Additive Manufacturing of Rack Tips

Rack Processing is exploring the capability of 3D printing titanium or stainless steel tips for holding parts. This technology is relatively new and there is much research yet to be done, but Rack Processing and Rack Global Enterprises are committed to be on the leading edge of designing and manufacturing plating-on-plastics (POP) racks for our customers.

A small sampling of the 250 students from local high schools and middle schools that visited Rack Processing at their headquarters in Dayton, OH, for Manufacturing Day 2018. The students toured the operations and learned about great paying careers in a fascinating work environment.

Rack Processing supports Manufacturing Day

For the second year in a row, Rack Processing Company, Inc. was very active in encouraging high school students to consider careers in manufacturing by giving guided tours to local high school students. Rack Processing hosted 118 students and 8 chaperones from Fairmont High School and 40 students and 3 chaperones from Bellbrook High School. The students learned about welding, assembly, machining, inventory, and supply chain concepts.
