Rack Processing’s electroplating on plastics customers are being offered an opportunity to subscribe to an on-line Critical Asset Tracking Solution (CATS) to be better able to track the activity, location, and status, of their valued plating on plastic (POP) racks. The system is based on RFID technology and it utilizes high temperature, corrosive resistant RFID tags that are read with handheld or fixed readers. The information is fed to the database that can be accessed using a desktop, laptop, or mobile device (phones, tablets, etc.) connected to the internet, and a login subscription. Rack Processing supports Manufacturing Day

For the second year in a row, Rack Processing Company, Inc. was very active in encouraging high school students to consider careers in manufacturing by giving guided tours to local high school students. Rack Processing hosted 118 students and 8 chaperones from Fairmont High School and 40 students and 3 chaperones from Bellbrook High School. The students learned about welding, assembly, machining, inventory, and supply chain concepts.

This team consisted of Dache Amos and Devin Hill. The students used industry standard 3D modeling software, called Solidworks, to create the concept design. They were assisted throughout this process by mentor Scott Cornell, from Rack Processing Company’s engineering group, who taught them Design Principles and Practices.
